The Oboye-pipeline Community Development Association (CDA) has set up security and sanitation personnel to ensure safety and well- being of the people.

The CDA Secretary, Comrade Nasir Sambakiu, explained that the CDA executive members have unanimously agreed to employ vigilante to safeguard the community and that every resident would be responsible for the payment of their service while a team has been set up to man the sanitation of the community.

He said the executive will soon agree on the amount to be paid by each household to settle the security personnel on monthly basis.

He therefore appealed to house and shop owners to co-operate with the committee on sanitation to carry out their exercise at all time to maintain a sustained clean and healthy environment.

He also warned the mechanics in the pipeline area against burning their waste materials on the pipeline which he said could endanger life in the community, urging them to co-operate with the CDA to maintain cleaner environment.

However, the CDA chairman, Alhaji Fatai Ayila, maintained that any house or business owners who accommodate miscreants would be punished by the authority as he warned people to be watchful of their environment to make peace rein in the community.

The Chairman urged the residents of the community to always park their waste and dispose with the appropriate waste management.

He noted that the rejuvenated CDA, with its new set of excos, has got all the necessary documents from the government to run the association, soliciting the intervention of the government on the street light in the community to curb some criminal acts in the night, adding that there is need for the presence of neighbuorhood safety corps patrol in the community to help keep the community guarded from crime.
