The Chairman of Ejigbo Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Monsuru Bello (Obe) plans to commissioning outstanding projects across wards in the local council area soon.
Addressing the All Progressives Congress (APC) party members during its emergency general meeting yesterday, Obe said the projects include the new Ilamose Primary School.
The meeting was held to harmonise the members and put things in order ahead of the party members’ registration
He urged all APC members in Ejigbo to unite and embrace peace in order to continue to strengthen the party’s power.
He told them to disregard the rumour that the collated names would be used in earning favour during the upcoming local government election but to rather focus on registration as “this would make you an official member.”
While revealing his plans, Bello said:.”We will donate two motorcycles per ward for convenient movement of polling officials during election and a bus which is an award from Abuja for being one of the best Local Government Chairmen in Nigeria to the woman leader for transporting our women during party activities.. However, the LCDA will begin commissioning projects starting from Ilamoshe public primary school very soon.”
He assured that all the the six ward chairmen, LGA chairman, Alhaji Kasumu Fatai and himself would ensure adequate logistic execution for a smooth and itch free registration exercise to take place.
Also speaking at the meeting, the former Lagos State Commissioner for Information and Strategy and the former Chairman of Ejigbo LCDA, Hon. Kehinde Bamigbetan, appealed to all public relations officers to reshape their means of disseminating information for the registration with the intent of having a higher number of vote during the local government election.
“In previous years we have recorded 30,000 members but this year we expect more so you are encouraged to notify all members so that we can have a greater vote in our local government election,” he said.
The party’s chairman, Alhaji Kasumu while moderating the meeting did an analysis of the new time table received from the party secretariat for the registration process.
