The Lafia based side, Amazons started the game on a high note with determination of getting something at the end of 90minutes.

 

The Amazons team enjoyed most of the possessions in the first 45minutes of the North derby, though the officiating wasn’t in their favor.

 

The referee signalled to the end of first half after one minute added time with both team failed to convert their chances.

The visitors looked good in the second half as the trio of Tarnum Dooshima, Ojiyovwi Kesiena and Aweda Titilayo continued to oppress the host defenders.

 

The home side were given set pieces at the edge of the 18yard box before the referee awarded a controversial spot kick at the 94th minutes from Yina Adoo’s clearance.

 

Obi Ijeoma made no mistake as she converted the spot kick which gave the host victory over the visitors.

 

Amazons will welcome Angels from Abia at their adopted home, Makurdi in the week 7 fixture.
