Nasarawa Amazons defeated Naija Ratels 3-1 in the opening match of the NWFL Premiership at the Aguyi Ironsi Stadium, Abuja.
The encounter started exactly at 10am which was the first game for both sides in 2023/2024 NWFL Premiership season.
Ojiyovwi Kesiena opened scoring with a header for Amazons in the 41st minutes from a corner kick taken by Ayatsea Hembafan, before a double from Hambafan in the added minutes of first half and in the 58th minutes which was enough to give them the maximum three points.
Naija Ratels got their consolation goal in the 91 minute as Davis converted an assist from veteran Super Falcons Star, Onome Ebi.
Nasarawa Amazons FC will be hoping to continue it impressive performance when they welcome Heartland Queens FC in their next fixture at the Lafia City stadium, November 22 2023.
