NWFL Premiership: Dannaz Ladies Midfielder, Jumoke Afolabi Elated With Debut Win

Dannaz Ladies midfielder, Jumoke Afolabi is proud of her gallant debut in the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership which came off a stunning 3-2 win against Osun Babes at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan.
Afolabi who started her career as a striker was converted to dictate proceedings from the middle of the pack for the Cedars.
She admitted the hard intensity of the game which lived up to expectations in a derby while she was glad Dannaz Ladies scooped the three points late in the match.
Afolabi reminisced in her impressive NWFL Premiership debut and her new role changing the narratives of the game in the midfield.
“It was not an easy match, I didn’t know I could do this and I’m very happy for the team. It’s not an easy one and I’m happy.
“It has not been easy, but our coach always says you’re not limited to play one role in a match, you can play anywhere so for me to play midfield, I’m good to go.”
