Unification Ladies’ head coach, Oluwatobi Oyekan, has cautioned against complacency following the team’s impressive start to the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Championship.
Despite a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Delta Babes, Oyekan remains focused on addressing shortcomings and building upon the team’s strengths.
The FEFCAN chief expressed confidence in his squad’s ability to overcome challenges and secure further success in the tournament.
“While we were confident in our abilities, the match against Delta Babes was a tough battle,” Oyekan admitted.
“We’ve faced them before and knew what to expect. However, we’ll be analyzing our performance to identify areas where we can improve.”
Looking ahead to the next match against Ibom Angels, Oyekan emphasized the importance of maintaining focus and determination.
“Every game presents its own unique challenges,” he stated.
“We’ll approach each encounter with the utmost concentration and strive for maximum points. Our goal is to build on our momentum and achieve our objectives in the NWFL Championship.”
