Sunshine Queens head coach, Abimbola Oladimeji is optimistic of securing promotion back to the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership as they face a tricky last game tie against Delta Babes.
The Owena Mermaids were relegated from the NWFL Premiership last season and they are on track to seek promotion back to the topflight of women’s football in Nigeria.
Sunshine Queens gaffer, Oladimeji described the game against Imo Strikers as a terrific encounter and praised the Imo based side for been athletic, young and talented.
The experienced tactician is certain of victory in the last game to get promoted to the Premiership.
“I feel excited because it’s a very balanced and good game. Very tough game from the blast of the referee whistle to the end, no rest,” he told Echonews.ng.
“Imo Strikers are very young, tough and talented team.
“We will go into our last match and make sure we have a very good game.”
The Owena Mermaids will be facing Delta Babes in their last game decider in the NWFL Championship and a convincing win will see them back to the Premiership.
