NTA To Air All AFCON Matches

The Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) has unveiled its ambitious plan to broadcast all 52 matches of the upcoming African Cup of Nations (AFCON) live.

The federal government-owned television station disclosed that it has formalized a memorandum of understanding with AfroSports TV, a prominent cross-continental Free-To-Air (FTA) sports channel.

Scheduled to unfold from January 13 to February 11, 2024, the 34th edition of AFCON will span across multiple cities, including Abidjan, Yamoussoukro, Bouake, San Pedro, and Korhogo.

The tournament will kick off with a highly anticipated opening match featuring hosts Cote d’Ivoire and Guinea-Bissau on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at the Alassane Ouattara Olympic Stadium of Ebimpe in Abidjan.

In an official tweet, NTA proudly announced, “NTA SIGNS MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING WITH AFRO SPORTS FOR TRANSMISSION OF 52 MATCHES OF AFRICA CUP OF NATIONS IN COTE D’iVOIRE,” signaling a groundbreaking collaboration that promises to bring an extensive and immersive viewing experience to football enthusiasts across the African continent.
