Nollywood actress Teniola Aladese has shared her growing worries about personal safety in her Lekki estate, admitting that she no longer feels at ease taking walks alone.
Speaking on the That’s What She Said podcast, Aladese contrasted her current experience in Lekki with her time living in Magodo, where walking solo—even at 2:00 a.m.—was considered completely normal.
“Walking was part of my routine in Magodo, but here in Lekki, I’ve had several instances where strange men followed me,” she revealed.
Recalling one particularly frightening encounter, the actress said, “On this fateful day, it was God that saved me. Since then, I decided to buy and use a treadmill at home.”
Aladese’s candid admission highlights the growing concerns around security in some Lagos estates and the precautions residents are taking to protect themselves.
