A Nigerian man has taken to “X”platform to express his heartbreak and frustration after discovering that his fiancée had used the money meant for their wedding on a personal business venture.
According to the man, he had entrusted his fiancée with funds to purchase all the necessary items for their wedding, which was just two months away.
She assured him that everything had been taken care of. However, he was shocked to learn that none of the items had been bought.
Upon further probing, the fiancée confessed that she had instead invested the money into a multilevel marketing business, hoping to generate quick profits.
She defended her actions by claiming it was an “investment,” but the groom-to-be felt deeply betrayed, not only because of the financial mismanagement but also because she had lied to him about it.
“I’m really struggling with something that’s come up in my relationship,” the man shared. “My fiancée told me she had purchased all the major items for our wedding, but I found out she hadn’t bought anything.
Instead, she spent the money on a business venture, hoping to make quick profits.”
