The National President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Bishop Wale Oke, has attributed Nigeria’s continued stability to the power of prayer by its citizens, especially the Christian community.
Speaking during a recent PFN event, Bishop Oke said the country has survived numerous crises and uncertainties because of the persistent intercession of believers who continue to uphold the nation before God.
“Nigeria is still standing today because of prayers,” he declared. “If not for the people constantly crying out to God, our story would have been very different.”
He highlighted the impact of the PFN across key sectors — including education, healthcare, and national evangelism — noting that the fellowship has continued to be a force for moral and social transformation in the country.
Bishop Oke also urged unity among Pentecostal churches, stressing that cooperation and love are vital for sustaining the spiritual and national progress of Nigeria.
“We must remain united as one body,” he said. “Let us focus on the good in our nation and continue to build, rather than tear down.”
The PFN leader further called for an end to killings and violence in all forms, urging Nigerians to rise above religious and ethnic divisions.
“No one deserves to die because of their faith or background. We must reject bloodshed and embrace peace,” Bishop Oke added.
He reaffirmed the PFN’s commitment to praying for Nigeria, teaching righteousness, and promoting unity among its millions of members across the country.
According to Bishop Oke, the Fellowship remains steadfast in its belief that through faith, good leadership, and collective moral responsibility, Nigeria can still fulfill its God-given destiny.
