NGO Donates Medical Equipments To Primary Health Centre In Isolo

A Non-Governmental-Organization in Ikeja has donated medical items to a Primary Healthcare Centre in Ajao Estate, Isolo.

The organization, Junior Chambers International, JCI, paid a visit to the community on Friday stating that the provision of the hospital equipments was carried out to commend the council Chairman, Olasoju Adebayo, for the remarkable developments in the community.

President of the NGO, Omowunmi Fakoya, said that the act bestowed at the healthcare was sacrosanct following a critical assessment carried out at the facility and also to support the efforts put together by the council administration to ensure quality healthcare services to the residents.

While reacting to the act, Adebayo told the Foundation, “I commend you for the handsome donation and your efforts in making this a possibility.

“It’s a good one and I want to thank the NGO for deeming it fit and being thoughtful that giving back to society is a task for everybody.

“The government alone cannot do it so they are here playing their part and we will play our part. On our end, we will make good use of what has been donated by JCI and we thank them and pray that God Almighty will replenish their pocket.

“We hope that other agencies and NGOs should emulate what JCI has done today.

“I assure of effective and proper usage of the items for the benefit of residents in the elite community.”

The Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Health District 6, Abimbola Mabogunje, who witnessed the occasion lauded the NGO for the kind gesture. She also assured of the state’s commitment towards partnering with organizations for more developments in healthcare delivery and other aspects.

Two Double Crank beds, one examination bed, one oxygen gas cylinder, a ward screen, and two drip stands were donated to the healthcare facility.

Others include: a resuscitator for kids, an electric pressure machine, a first aid box, and an Accu check machine.
