NFF Appoints Eric Chelle As Super Eagles Head Coach

The Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, has appointed Eric Chelle as the head coach of the Super Eagles.

The Glass House made the announcement in a Statement on Tuesday.

Chelle, 47, former head coach of Mali national team, was appointed following his recommendation by the NFF’s Technical and Development Sub-Committee during a meeting held recently.

The new appointee, who featured for French side’s: Valenciennes and Lens in his playing days, led the Eagles of Mali to the Quarter Final of the African Cup of Nations held in Ivory Coast. Prior to his stint with the west African side where he recorded 14 wins, five draws, and three losses, Chelle became coach of French sides : GS Consolat, FC Martigues, Boulogne, alongside MC Oran of Algeria.

His first real test as Super Eagles coach is an away game against Rwanda on 15th March in a World Cup Qualifying match.
