New Isolo council leader, Alarape assures residents of effective bye-laws

The Council Leader of Isolo Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Akeem Adeyemi (Alarape), has assured residents of the community that the legislative arm would take all efforts to raise the standard of legislation in the council area.

The councillor, who represents Ilasamaja Ward, made this known in an exclusive interview with ECHONEWS, promising to ensure that the legislature rises to its responsibilities to place Isolo above all other council areas.

He explained that the house is currently on recess till Monday, August 30 following the adjournment of plenary held on Thursday, August 5, where the house committed the legislative journey to God with prayers by cleric and pastor

While assuring synergy with the executive arm, the council leader said the legislative arm make new bylaws for the development of the community.

He explained that all is set to commence the legislative business to ensure that governance is closer to the residents as expected.

He charged other councillors to meet constantly with the people in their wards and come up with bills that will hasten community development.

He emphasised that the House will give maximum support for timely execution of human and infrastructural development programme of the council chairman.

Alarape urged his colleagues especially the first term councillors to be loyal, promising to run the legislature on the principles of loyalty, selflessness and transparency.
