National Honors: Sanwo-Olu Congratulates Soyinka, Others

Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has congratulated Nobel Laureate, Professor Wole Soyinka (GCON), Senate President Godswill Akpabio (GCON), General Alani Akinrinade (GCON), Bayo Onanuga (CON) and Speaker Tajudeen Abbas (GCON) on the recent national honors conferred on them by the President of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Sanwo-Olu said the beneficiaries were deserving of the national honors due to their contributions and patriotism to Nigeria over the years.

“I attended the Joint Session of the National Assembly, where President Bola Tinubu delivered a speech in honour of Democracy Day.

“During the session, he officially conferred national honours on some of our country’s distinguished citizens, including the leaders of the National Assembly.

“I want to personally congratulate Professor Wole Soyinka, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, General Alani Akinrinade, and Speaker Tajudeen Abbas.

“My congratulations also go to Mr. Bayo Onanuga and all the other recipients. It’s a well-deserved recognition of their service and commitment.”
