Napoli legal officer, Mattia Grassani has disclosed the top clubs chasing the signature of Nigeria forward, Victor Osimhen.
Osimhen became the toast of major clubs in Europe when he led the Partenopei to the Scudetto title and won the highest goal scorer award.
Grassani said he personally wrote the Super Eagles forward contract and revealed Napoli and Osimhen are at advanced talks over the elongation of his present contract at the club.
Arsenal sporting director Edu Gaspar have had a talk with Osimhen’s representatives but no concrete offer have been tabled.
“I wrote Osimhen’s contract a long time ago. Renewal? There are advanced negotiations,” he said.
“We are informed that Arsenal sporting director, Edu Gaspar, contacted the owner of the Serie A club, Aurelio De Laurentiis, to ask about the availability of the player, having met with the 24-year-old’s agent, Roberto Calenda.”
Napoli have played three matches in the Serie A this season, won two and lost one at home to Lazio.
