…Inaugurates Task Force
To address the problem of environmental nuisance in Mushin, the Chairman of the local government, Mr. Emmanuel Bamigboye has formed a task force team to support the efforts of Environmental Sanitation officers in maintaining cleanliness.
The committee, consisting of five members, is tasked with clearing walkways and drainages of any environmental violations.
They also have the authority to place removal notices on abandoned vehicles, with enforcement actions to follow based on Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Laws.
Members of the Five – Man committee include the following:
1. Mr. Showande Rasaq – Chairman
2. Sanitarian Ogunti Busayo – Secretary
3. Mr. Oredola Gabriel – Member
4. Mr. Hakeem Folorunsho – Member
5. Sanitarian Abati Olamide – Member
The public is warned against damaging the environment, as the government is ready to take strong actions against those who violate environmental laws.
Traders who use walkways and drainage for displaying goods will now be targeted by a taskforce.
Abandoned vehicles causing environmental issues will have removal notices pasted on them by the taskforce.
The council’s Legal Adviser, Mrs. Omosehin Adebimpe, oversaw the inauguration ceremony. Residents should clear drainage channels and dispose of waste properly to prepare for the upcoming rainy season.
