Monarch Celebrates UNILAG Overall Best Ph.D Student

An illustrious daughter of Aworiland, the Yeye Oge of Akesan, Aminat Olawunmi Ige, a doctoral student in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Lagos (UNILAG), is being celebrated by the Olofin Apesin Olode, Olota of the Paramount & Ancient Ottaland, Awori Kingdom, for winning the Overall Best Graduating Doctoral Thesis Award.

On behalf of other esteemed Awori Monarchs, Oba Professor Adeyemi Abdukabir Obalanlege (Olota of Otta), the Chairman of the Awori Obas Forum in Ogun State, praised Aminat Ige as an excellent ambassador of the Awori Nation.

“I congratulate Aminat Ige on her record-setting feat as the overall best graduating doctoral thesis award winner at the prestigious University of Lagos.”

“I’m proud of her outstanding academic feat, which serves as an example for millions of Awori children looking forward to a role model and a great ambassador of Awori Nation as they journey through life particularly in their academic pursuit”.

An Awori indigene, Aminat Ige (Ph.D in Mathematics), has proven, once again, that with dedication, hard work, and diligence, no record is too difficult to break. She symbolised the indefatigable Awori spirit and indeed represents the best of us.

The university has announced Aminat Ige from the Department of Mathematics as the best-graduating student, who will be officially decorated at the forthcoming 54th Convocation of the University while Awori Obas Forum, Ogun State would be hosting her at a later date, among others.
