The missing boy found by personnel of Lagos State Neighborhood Safety Corps (LNSC) on Monday has been handed to his family.
The boy was simply identified as Godwin and had since been united with his parents when they showed up at the Juvenile Welfare Centre, Alakara Mushin, yesterday where he was being taken care of.
ECHONEWS had earlier reported that attention of the neighbourhood corps attached to Coca-cola bus stop, Asa Afariogun in Ajao Estate was drawn to the boy when he narrowly escaped being hit by a reckless driver in the process of crossing the road.
He was, however, delayed for questioning but efforts to get any bio-data from him was unproductive as he seemed to be vocally impaired.
The LNSC officials later took the boy to Alakara Police Station, Mushin from where he was transferred to Juvenile Welfare Centre when the Ajao Estate Police Division refused to take the custody of the boy.
Meanwhile, it was gathered that the parents of the boy later showed up at the Juvenile Center to claim the boy.
The father, who identified himself as Mr. John, explained that the boy was last seen at Assemblies of God Church in Isolo on Sunday, May 16.
The parents claimed to reside at 13, Baale Street, Ishagatedo area in Isolo and had since been handed the boy having satisfactorily identified themselves.
