Ministry of Establishment Trains 200 Legal and Other Officers In Two Weeks

The Lagos State Ministry of Establishments and Training has so far trained 100 legal officer in legal and governance skills. It also trained another 100 officers in the state public service in data protection and information communication technology skills.

A statement by the Ministry of Establishments and Training stated that the training was organised for over 100 legal officers from Grade Level 13 and above in the state public service.

The training, which is organised under the learning and development programme of the state government, is aimed at training the officers in legal and governance skills.

The ministry had recently organised a two-day training for over 100 officers in the state public service in data protection and information communication technology skills.

Speaking at the venue of the training in Ikeja, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Establishments and Training, Mr Olawale Musa, advised participants to internalise what they learn from the training with the theme, ‘Enhancement of legal and governance skills for lawyers of the Lagos State Ministry of Justice’.

He said, “Every training programme presents opportunities for participants to learn and take away something new.”

Whilst stating that he was sure that there would be something new to learn from the training programme, Musa advised they should not fail to take new knowledge away, declaring that at some point in future, such knowledge would be useful.

The Solicitor-General and Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Ministry of Justice, Mrs Titilayo Shitta-Bey-Jeje, appreciated the Ministry of Establishments and Training for organising the training.
