Residents and electorate in Alagbeji Ward have declared their supports for the candidates of the All Progressives congress (APC) in the forthcoming local council elections.
They gave their support as multitude of residents and party faithfuls welcomed the candidates and campaign train into the community on Tuesday.
The rally was in continuation of the seven-day ward-to-ward campaign that began yesterday from Akinbaiye Ward.
The chairmanship candidate, Hon. Bayo Olasoju, the vice chairmanship candidate, Hon. Shakir Sadiq Adeola, the councillorship candidate for the ward, Hon. Olanrewaju Kayode and other councillors were received by their supporters in the ward at the popular Aiye Bus led by the ward chairman, Hon. Doyin Pikuda.
The campaign team moved around the community in a fascinating fashion with melodious band music – from Aiye Bus Stop through major streets in the ward, soliciting supports of more electorate in the community before heading to the campaign office of Olasoju where he addressed party members and presented the flag to the councillorship candidate.
He expressed his heartfelt appreciation for the show of support and acceptability the team received in the ward as he appealed to them to massively vote for the councillorship candidate of the party in the ward as well as him.
He enlightened them to use their index finger while casting their votes, saying it is the most appropriate for the voting exercise.
The ward chairman, Hon. Doyin Pikuda, said the ward exco will sustain the awareness in the ward by engaging on house to house campaign.
He boasted that his ward will record higher result compared to the previous ones on Saturday, July 24, 2021.
The campaign continues tomorrow with Ajao Estate and the team is expected to be received at the bridge close to Mopson Pharmaceutical along Osolo Way before moving around the community.
