Market, transportation sector feels workers’ absence

Oshodi -Isolo Market and transportation system became dull as workers’ embarked on ” 14 days work from work” directives from state government as part of precautionary measures against Coronavirus wide spread.
Most traders in oshodi market had there hands folded and looking forward to customers patronage.
One of the fairly used clothes ( Okirika) seller complained thus:
” No sales oh!, because of Coronavirus people refused to come to market,even workers wey for pick some tops on their way home, no good work, God help us oh!.”
Similar experience goes to transportation section at the LT bus garage loading from Oshodi to Ikotun, lesser passengers had forced drivers to reduce fare rate from N200 and N300 It used to be to N150.
Tricycle chairman Oshodi Branch B along 7/8 junction, Mr. Kazeem Ajadi disclosed how preventive measures to COVID -19 reduced their passengers to three people.
“Our state chairman,National Union of Road Transport workers, Alhaji Musiliu Akinsaya Mc Oluomo has met with us and he advised that we should carry three people per trip and he shared sanitizers to us for our use and the passengers coming into our keke.”
Traders, transporters look forward to seeing the end of the epidemic in the country and the world at large so business can boom again.
