Man On Trial For Allegely Stealing Car Worth N10M

One Segun Oladeyo has been arraigned in court for allegely stealing a car worth N10,000,000.
Oladeyo is to be re-arraigned on February 6 following an adjournment of his trial.
During his arraignment on Wednesday at the Igbosere Magistrates’ Court in Lagos, Police Prosecutor, Inspector Cyriacus Osuji, said that the accused is facing two counts bordering on conspiracy and stealing.
The prosecutor, Inspector Cyriacus Osuji, told the court that the 38-year-old defendant, alongside others still at large, commited the offences alongside others on December 4, 2024 at about 10:30 am, at Adekola Balogun Street, Marwa, Road, Lekki in Lagos.
Osuji mentioned that the gang stole a Toyota 4Runner SUV, with registration number KRD 764 FX, valued N10m, property of Sayeed Farms Limited.
He added that the offences contravened Sections 411 and 287 (7) of the criminal laws of Lagos state, 2015.
The defendant pleaded not guilty.
The court granted bail to the defendant in the sum of N1m, with two sureties in like sum. In addition, the sureties must be gainfully employed and one must be a blood relation.
To perfect the bail conditions, Oladeyo’s sureties must show evidence of tax payment to the Lagos state government and must reside within Lagos.
The accused was remanded at the Ikoyi Correctional Centre, pending when he is able to perfect his bail conditions.
