Man Faces Trial Over Alleged Defilement Of 18-Month Old Baby

An alleged lawbreaker identified as Peter Oshomah is facing prosecution over allegations of sexual assault on an 18-month-old infant in Ipaja area, Lagos.
Oshomah, on Tuesday, was arraigned at the Ikeja Sexual Offences and Domestic Court in Ikeja on a count charge of defilement.
The state’s prosecutor, Inumidun Solarin, claimed that the accused committed the offence on February 5, 2024 at No.8 DB Street, Shagari Estate in Ipaja.
Solarin mentioned that the alleged offence contravened Section 137 of the Lagos State Criminal Laws, 2015.
The suspect pleaded not guilty.
Justice Rahman Oshodi, who presided over the matter, ordered the remand of the defendant at the Kirikiri Correctional Facility.
The matter is to be revisited in court on July 1.
