Magistate Temitope Oladele of the Ikeja Magistates’ Court has docked one Kelvin Imeh for allegedly stealing the sum of N3.5m belonging to his employer.
At the court sitting on Wednesday, Prosecution Counsel, DSP Victor Eruada disclosed that the 38-year-old accused who resides on Adele Street, Ogombo area, Eti-Osa in Lagos is charged with conspiracy and theft.
Eruada also said that Imeh and another offender at large committed the theft act on December 10, 2023 at Paradise Beach Resort. The duo connived to take an Automated Teller Machine card belonging to his employer, withdrew the money without his consent and fled.
The Prosecutor said such act contravenes the provisions of section 411 and 287 (7) of the Lagos State Criminal Law.
He pleaded not guilty to the charge
He said the offence contravened the provisions of sections 411 and 287 (7) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State 2015.
Magistate Oladele, admitted Imeh to bail in the sum of N200,000 with two sureties in like sum and adjourned the case until Jan. 30 for mention.
