Mamador, the acclaimed premium food brand, is gearing up for a magnificent event, as it prepares to host its renowned annual gathering, the August Meeting, on the 30th of August 2024 at Sheba Hall in Maryland, Lagos. The eagerly anticipated 5th edition promises to be an unforgettable celebration of Igbo culture, community, and progress, uniting women from all walks of life under the banner of Mamador’s commitment to positive change and development.
Mamador’s August Meeting, a deeply-rooted and highly cherished tradition, provides a unique platform for Igbo women across the globe to converge, share ideas, and collectively pursue initiatives that promote community development, socio-economic advancement, and cultural preservation.
This revered gathering, an annual occasion for these women to reconnect with their roots, is not just an opportunity to engage in meaningful dialogue and brainstorming, but also a chance to reaffirm their bond and honor their heritage as Igbo women.
Every year, the Mamador August Meeting promises an array of engaging activities, powerful keynote speeches, and insightful panel sessions, featuring renowned personalities, popular figures, and industry leaders in various fields, including health, parenting, entrepreneurship, wealth creation, fitness, and wellness.
These esteemed guests impart their knowledge and expertise, sharing invaluable insights and strategies that inspire and empower the women in attendance. This diverse range of speakers ensures that the conversations remain relevant and topical, covering the myriad issues that affect Igbo women in their personal and professional lives.
Mamador’s August Meeting 2024 will once again assemble an illustrious panel of prominent speakers, celebrities, and influencers, known for their expertise and influence in their respective fields. This year’s guest list is headlined by renowned health influencer and medical doctor, Egemba Chinonso, better known as “Aproko Doctor”; finance and wealth guru Sola Adesakin; certified parenting coach Sandra Oluwadare; certified financial education instructor Tomie Balogun; and fitness icon and actress Kate Henshaw, who will grace the stage with their insights, knowledge, and advice.
At the conference, each speaker will share their thoughts on critical discourse relating to health and finance. While Aproko Doctor will be deep-diving into Health and Food Choices, Sola Adesakin will share her thoughts on “Wealth and the Woman”. A total of 2000 women are expected to participate in the event, with 500 attending physically.
In the same vein, Sandra Oluwadare will speak on the topic “Parenting in this Generation” while Tomie Balogun will provide insights on “You are a Business”.
According to the Head of Marketing, PZ Wilmar Food Limited, Chioma Mbanugo, the theme of this year’s event, “Nourish to Flourish: Elevating Health and Wealth”, underscores the need for women to adequately prioritise their health and general well-being while striving to build wealth.
Mbanugo explained that the annual event was conceived to recognise and celebrate Nigerian women for their diligence, resilience, breaking the status quo, and relentless quest for success regardless of limitations or barriers along their path. She added that three women in attendance who have participated in a competitive business pitch stand a chance to win a cumulative prize money of 3.5 million naira at the event.
She noted that the event’s theme, which focuses on health and financial empowerment, reflects the brand’s commitment to the well-being of Nigerian women nationwide and that consumers, celebrities and staff members should expect a memorable experience.
In the past four years, Mamador has brought women home and abroad to empower them and foster meaningful discussion.
