Magistrate Remands Sales Girl For Stealing Goods Worth N5.2M

A trial at the Eti-Osa Magistrates’ Court has remanded one Nifemi Friday for allegedly stealing items worth N5,200,000 in Lagos.
Magistrate Taiwo Oyaniyi, who presided over the trial on Wednesday, ordered the remand of the 23-year-old suspect at the Kirikiri Correctional Centre.
The Prosecutor, Adeleye Ganiyu, claimed that the accused committed the offence on December 23, 2024, at about 1:00am, at the Obas Mall in Okun Ajah, Lagos.
Ganiyu submitted that Nifemi commited the alledged offence against the complainant, one Lateef Lawal, and contravened Sections 287 and 168 (d) of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State 2015.
The case was adjourned until March 26, 2025, for mention.
