LWC Boss, Tijani, Charges Staff To Be Prayerful And Diligent

Lagos water Corporation, Managing Director, Engr. Mukhtaar Temitope Tijani yesterday 2nd January, 2024 led the LWC First Work Day Thanksgiving Prayer Session, held at the Corporation’s Conference Room, Ijora, Lagos.
The annual event hosted by the Administration and Human Resources Department led by the Director, A&HR, Mr. Sheriff Akinpelu aimed to give thanks to Almighty
God for His sustenance in the passing year 2023, usher prayers and seek God’s intervention in the development of the Corporation, particularly towards improved service delivery to Lagos residents.
The First Work Day Thanksgiving Prayer Session is held annually at the beginning of January (New Year) as two notable faiths seek divine interventions to solve Corporation challenges.
in his Keynote Address, the MD, Engr. Tijani thanked Almighty God fervently for His sustenance over the passing year 2023, and prayed for his mercy, favour, guidance and protection, and also to allow public interest to supersede personal interest while Carrying out our various official duties.
He however charged the entire Management and Staff to be steadfast in prayers and work hard for desire results.
Quoting a verse in the Holy scripture “Prayer Without Works is dead” James 2:14-26, the MD further stated that “We don’t need to expect miracle without hardwork.
In her special remarks, the LWC Executive Director, Operations, Engr. (Mrs.) Helen Omolanke Taiwo supported the MD position on “Prayer with Works, reiterated that “Prayer without works is dead”, as cited in the Holy Bible, James 2:14 – 26.
Further quoted that “the Bible teaches us to pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17), and every Christian should pray. But as important as prayer is, prayer doesn’t excuse anyone from hard work”
“Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone”.
She however proclaimed that ihis year 2024 is a year of all time productivity. “There’s nothing God Almighty cannot do, as all problems are surmountable.
“With God on our sides we can do all things, even in our personal life, all things are possible. “We need to collaborate for progress and growth”.
She however joined Engr. Mukhtaar Tijani in thanking Almighty God, prayed that this year 2924 should be a wonderful year for us all, she concluded.
The event witnessed a mammoth crowd beginning from Management Staff, Directors and Staff, from the Corporation’s Headquarters to other LWC formation across the State.
