Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has warned the youths to shun any act of violence during the Local Government elections on Saturday, July 12.

Sanwo-Olu said the youths should rather see their selves as peace ambassadors and advocates of democratic election principles.

He further assured that the LG elections will be peaceful, free and fair without bias to any of the political parties. He added that he’s committed to holding a transparent election which reflects the will of the people.

“Our youths in particular should shun any form of violence and instead act as ambassadors of peace and democratic responsibility.

“I assure you that Lagos will continue to set the pace in democratic development. I, therefore, affirm my administration’s commitment to free, fair, and transparent elections that reflect the will of our people.

“Let us show the world once again that Lagos stands for peace, progress, and participatory governance.”
