LG Polls: Obe declares for second term

The incumbent Chairman of Ejigbo LCDA, Hon. Monsurudeen Bello (Obe) has officially declared his ambition to contest for the local council chairmanship election slated to old in July, 2021.
Obe, who is running under the ruling party, All Progressives Congress (APC), would return for second term in office as the chairman of the local council if elected.
While declaring his ambition at the general meeting of the party in Ejigbo on Tuesday, he earnestly canvassed for the party support to the the party’s primaries and the supports of the residents of Ejigbo during the election.
Enumerating his achievements during his first term in office to be considered for his second term bid, Obe said his administration in the past three and half years has fulfilled about 80 per cent of what he promised residents during his campaign in 2017.
According to him, his administration is community friendly, saying he engaged the capable hands to make Ejigbo a more civilized community among others in Lagos State.
He said: “We run an inclusive government in this administration as we give dividends of democracy to the good people of Ejigbo.
“I want to appreciate Almighty Allah for giving me the privilege and wherewithal to actualize my manifesto to the people of Ejigbo through the party’s support.
“In the past years, my government, among numerous projects, completed rehabilitation and construction of major and feeder roads, improved health sector, constructed Ilamoshe 13+1 primary school, upgraded the council secretariat and construction of a new legislative building just to mention a few.”
