The President of Landlord Association, Low-Cost Housing Estate (Jakande Estate), Ejigbo, Alhaji Isiaka Salami, has urged all members to ensure total compliance with all directives given by Hon. Monsurudeen Bello Obe – led administration to enjoy more government interventions.
He said healthy cooperation with the administration would aid community development, noting that government would place the community in the scheme of its developmental plan when the residents comply with its directives.
According to him, complying with the directives would create a good relationship between the government and the people, adding that such a relationship would allow them to ask for more support from the government in developing the community.
He charged all members to be upright and law-abiding residents, saying their contributions would not only be recognised at the local level but also at the state level if in compliance with the government’s directives.
He cited the cordial relationship that was created during Obe’s first tenure, saying the administration has over time recognised the association by inviting them to take part in pressing issues such as the case of LBIC.
He added that there are more opportunities they stand to benefit if they are all supportive of the current administration.
Salami, therefore, appreciated the recognition given to the landlord association by the Community Development Committee (CDC) as well as its effort to clear the misunderstanding between the association and the Community Development Association (CDA) especially where their duties overlap.
