Lekki LCDA Celebrates Bright Futures at Annual Student Awards Ceremony

Annual awards and recognition ceremony for outstanding public school students in Lekki LCDA took place this week, radiating enthusiasm and pride throughout the community. Organized by Mrs. Ramat Bola Kasali, wife of the Chairman, the event celebrated the exceptional academic achievements, extracurricular involvements, and overall excellence of students in the local public school system.

Mrs. Ramat Bola Kasali delivered an inspiring address, emphasizing education’s role as a cornerstone for the future. “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world,” she declared, praising the students for their dedication and perseverance.

Mrs. Kasali reiterate the council’s commitment to enhance education in Lekki LCDA. She outlined various initiatives aimed at improving educational infrastructure, providing learning materials, and supporting teachers’ professional development. “We are dedicated to invest in your future by improving the quality of education and ensuring that every student has the resources they need to succeed,” she said.

The Chairperson highlights the importance of recognizing and celebrating outstanding student achievements to motivate others to strive for excellence. She encouraged students to pursue knowledge and personal growth, reminding them that education is a lifelong journey. “This award is not just a recognition of your hard work but a reminder that your journey of learning and growth is just beginning,” she noted.

Mrs. Kasali announced several new programs to support students, includes scholarships for higher education, mentorship programs, and partnerships with local businesses for internship opportunities. These initiatives aim to further empower students and prepare them for future success.

20 students were honoured during the ceremony, each receives school bags, T-shirts, cash gifts, and a scholarship grant to support their higher education endeavours. The atmosphere was filled with joy and pride as students, parents, and teachers celebrated the success of the awardees.
