During the flag up of the first phase of the initiative on Wednesday, 200 young participants gathered at the KemmySam School in Aradagun, Olorunda LCDA, to begin a four-week intensive training course aimed at transforming them into skilled digital professionals.
The Beneficiaries were drawn from the three councils in Badagry Federal Constituency—Badagry Local Government, Olorunda LCDA, and Badagry West LCDA. Each of them is expected to receive hands-on training that combines theory with practical experience.
Whingan, represented by Bukola Agemo, a member of the Technical Commitee of the program, stated that the exercise centres on latest youth development project in the areas of Web Development, Product Management, Data Analysis, and Project Management.
The lawmaker also disclosed that the initiative is being delivered in partnership with Codeverse Africa, a reputable tech training organization, to ensure the program maintains high-quality standards and practical relevance.
He added: “This program represents a crucial investment in the future of Badagry youths, empowering them to secure competitive roles in the technology industry. Through this training, we are not only shaping individual futures but also contributing to Badagry’s long-term socioeconomic development.”
