The Chairman of the Lagos State Health Service Commission, Dr. Atinuke Onayiga, praised the students for their hard work and dedication. She reminded them that they are not just graduates but ambassadors of excellence, representing the “Excellent Spirit of Lagos.”
Dr. (Mrs.) Kemi Ogunyemi, Special Adviser on Health to the Lagos State Governor, extended her congratulations to the graduating caregivers and their families. She emphasized the crucial role caregivers play in the healthcare system and urged the graduates to prioritize customer service and consider pursuing further education in nursing or medicine.
Professor Akin Abayomi, the Lagos State Commissioner for Health, commended the LASUTH Caregiver Academy for its innovative approach to addressing the shortage of healthcare support services.
He congratulated the graduates and encouraged them to exhibit empathy, decorum, and attentiveness in their caregiving roles.
The LASUTH Caregiver Academy was established to meet the growing need for skilled caregivers and to provide opportunities for young people seeking employment.
