LASUSTECH MACSA Celebrates Day, Awards Best Student

Mass Communication Student Association, MACSA of the Lagos State University of Technology has celebrated its annual event with students from HND II and ND II coming together for a joyful celebration.

The event was held at the Kakawa Space Hall of the university in Ikorodu.

The event commenced with Olatunde Oluwafifehanmi, the President of the Mass Communication Department, expressing gratitude to all attendees. He also commended his fellow members of the executive for their collaborative efforts in making the day a joyful celebration.

During the event, Mr. Taiwo Okeowo, a Mass Communication lecturer, shared valuable insights about life after school. He emphasized the challenges graduates might face and urged them to proactively navigate the professional world.

His advice included building connections and maintaining relationships with industry professionals, seeking internships or volunteer opportunities to enhance their skills, and considering further education or certifications to stay competitive.

Notable individuals present at the event included Mr. Taiwo Okeowo, Mr. Hassan Nurudeen, Mr. Olutayo Agogo and Mr. Ibrahim Fatoyinbo, whose presence was duly acknowledged.

The highlight of the event was the presentation of awards to outstanding students. Adebayo Nurudeen received recognition as the best overall student in print class, while Adewale Abidemi earned the title of the overall best student in the broadcast category. Gbolade Akeem Folarinwa was celebrated as the rising outspoken student, David Oluwatobi John was honored as the best sports director for his contributions towards the success of the historic SUG cup triumph among many other deserving awardees.
