Lanre Mojola, the Director General of the Lagos State Safety Commission urged Lagosians to be more careful and safe as the year approaches an end.
In a speech to the media during the weekend on environmental safety and current temperature of the weather, too much heat and a dry atmosphere, Mojola noted that human safety must supercede all. He stated “Once there is life, there is hope for a better tomorrow. We can only hope for the best.”
He emphasized that the current condition of the weather isn’t a friendly one and as such citizens should take precautions. When there is too much heat in the atmosphere it can cause damages to the health such as dizziness, suffocation, dehydration, and an unclear vision.
He warned against smoking in open places and keeping fire attractive substances at home, shops, school or any other place. He also pleaded with the citizens to work hand-in-hand with the government to prevent dangers at our various workplaces and residences
