The Lagos State Government and King Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom in Ikorodu have officially endorsed the upcoming “Boys Future, Boys Challenge Summit ’24.”
This groundbreaking initiative, organized by the Boys Mentoring Advocacy Network (BMAN), aims to address the challenges, expectations, and opportunities of boyhood to manhood.
Scheduled to take place on Saturday, May 18, 2024, the summit will bring together delegates from over 100 private and public schools across Lagos. Noteworthy international keynote speakers and participants are also expected to grace the event, which will be hosted at the prestigious Lagos State University of Science & Technology (LASUSTECH) in Ikorodu.
The endorsement and partnership approval from the Lagos State Ministry of Youth and Social Development underscore the government’s commitment to youth development.
Recognizing the importance of addressing the unique challenges faced by boys in their transition to manhood, the collaboration with BMAN reflects a proactive approach to equipping young men with the necessary guidance and support for their journey.
HRM Alaiyeluwa Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali, the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo kingdom, has also pledged his support for the summit, emphasizing its dedication to the growth and development of young boys in the community. The royal endorsement further strengthens the initiative’s mission to empower boys and prepare them for responsible adulthood.
Under the theme “CEO: Challenges, Expectations, and Opportunities of Boyhood to Manhood,” the summit promises to be an enlightening and empowering event. With the support of both governmental and traditional leadership, along with BMAN’s expertise in mentoring and advocacy, the Boys Future, Boys Challenge: Summit ’24 presents a unique opportunity to shape the future of young boys and foster their holistic development.
