Landlord Arrested For Using Residence As Abattoir

A house owner in Lagos has been arrested for turning his living home into an abattoir in Iju Ishaga area of the state.

The arrestee who was nabbed at the building in N0 12, Alfred Williams Street in the area was said to have endangered the premises through unhygenic practices.

Following a report by a concerned resident, officers of the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps, LAGESC, made way into the building condemning the act.

The agency noted that the house owner contravened the environmental laws of the state which follows necessary sanctions by the authorities.

The suspect is now in custody, and the premises have been sealed.
