Young people in Lagos are stepping into the digital age with fresh confidence, thanks to a powerful collaboration between the Lagos State Agency for Mass Education and MTN Nigeria.

At the recently concluded Y’ello Care programme held at the Rotary Vocational Training Centre in Igbogbo, Ikorodu, participants received hands-on training in basic coding, setting them on a path to digital success. The three-day event wasn’t just about learning—it was about unlocking future opportunities.

Mrs. Oluwakemi Kalesanwo, Director of the Lagos State Agency for Mass Education, thanked MTN for supporting young people with tools they need to thrive. She said the practical training, combined with the donation of tech equipment and a sustainable power solution, will transform the training centre and help learners build valuable digital and vocational skills.

MTN took things a step further by donating five new HP desktop computers, five power backup units, and a solar power setup that includes a 3.5 KVA inverter, two batteries, and four solar panels—ensuring the centre stays powered and productive.

To keep everyone connected, MTN also gifted a 5G internet router with three months of free access. This opens up endless learning opportunities online for the trainees.

Leaders from both the Agency for Mass Education and MTN were present to show their support and commitment to uplifting the community. With this initiative, Lagos youths are getting equipped to chase big dreams in a digital world.
