Lagos To Prosecute Resident Over Indiscriminate Refuse Dumping

The Lagos State Government has held a female resident for prosecution for violating the stipulated environmental laws through indiscriminate refuse dumping.
The 30-year-old offender, simply identified as Sarah, was arrested on Wednesday by operatives of the state’s Environmental Sanitation Corps, LAGESC.
LAGESC hinted that the arrestee dumped her refuse on the median at Iyanaba, disclosing that the reckless act undermines the state’s efforts efforts to maintain a clean and flood-free community.
The agency informed that the arrestee will face the wrath of the law as necessary sanctions will be imposed on her. It sent a clear warning stating that dumping waste on road medians or public spaces is a punishable offense.
