The Lagos State Government, LASG, is set to host the Special Lagos Day program, an initiative convened to display and promote culture and tradition.
LASG informed that the initiative will be held during the 2024 Annual General Conference to be hosted by the NBA.
NBA disclosed that the event is billed for Tuesday, 27th August 2024, at the Marquee in Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos.
According to the body, the event starts at 11am.
As part of the activities of the event, LASG aims to use the Special Lagos Day program to showcase it’s cultural heritage, innovative projects and significant achievements. In addition, the government also disclosed that the program will showcase it’s immersive journey and discuss on achievements in the long run.
Highlights of the event will include captivating cultural displays, traditional music, dance, and the iconic Eyo masquerade parade, all to be exhibitions of historical artifacts and photographs depicting the old and new Lagos.
The state will also use the program to showcase it’s dynamic evolution, initiatives and ongoing projects.
According to the state’s Commisioner of Justice, Lawal Pedro, the program will also feature legal practitioners, industry leaders, judges, technocrats, and entrepreneurs from across Nigeria and beyond who will bring their expertise for more developments in the society.
Pedro spoke of his elation for the state’s opportunity to showcase it’s rich heritage and innovative strides at one of the largest gatherings of legal professionals in Africa.
