The Lagos State Government is preparing to embark on the construction of the phase two of the Igbosere High Court.
This was revealed by the Permanent Secretary of the state Ministry of Works, Mr. Jimi Hotonou to our correspondent.
Cotonou who is charge of “Rebuild Lagos Trust Fund”, said that the government had already awarded the contract for the demolition of the burnt court structure to a contractor and that work would begin next week.
Recall that some hoodlums who hijacked the ENDSARS protest set the Igbosere Court on fire in October 2020.
According to Hotonou, the project was a bit delayed due to the ordering of the materials that would be used, adding, ” thedemolition will commence soon.
He noted that to kick-start the second phase, there is need for the consultant and the contractor to be on the same page.
“We need that synergy and we have been getting it to begin work possibly by next week.
