The Lagos State Government has closed Donald’s, a restaurant owned by celebrity bartender Cubana Chief Priest, citing persistent noise pollution and environmental violations.

The closure followed repeated warnings to the establishment, which reportedly failed to comply with state regulations.

The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) led the enforcement operation.

In a statement shared on social media, Tokunbo Wahab, the Lagos State Commissioner for Environment, confirmed the restaurant’s shutdown, emphasizing the government’s commitment to upholding environmental laws.

“Despite several warnings, the management of Donald’s continued to operate in violation of the state’s noise pollution and environmental regulations, forcing us to take necessary action,” Wahab stated.

The restaurant’s closure serves as part of the government’s broader initiative to enforce environmental compliance across businesses in Lagos.

Wahab reiterated that the state would not hesitate to take similar actions against other establishments that disregard environmental guidelines.
