Lagos Seals Lekki Event Centre For Environmental Pollution

The Lagos State Government has sealed an event centre, Grace Garden Event Place in Lekki, over environmental degradation.
The government, while carrying out the enforcement on Monday, stated that residents at Bisola Durosinmi-Etti Drive, where the facility is located, logged a complain of a burning refuse which brought out disturbing smoke causing serious air pollution in the surroundings.
Two suspects, Dominic Uja, 25 and Barry Macaulay, 52, were arrested as suspects to have carried out the act and have been taken to the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps, LAGESC, for prosecution.
The government relayed that the firm will be sealed until further notice. In addition, it cautioned residents and businesses to aoid illegal waste practices as ffenders will face prosecution under Lagos environmental laws.
