Lagos Seals Building In Surulere Over Environmental Pollution

The Lagos State Government has sealed a building in Surulere area over violation of environmental laws in the area.
The state’s Wastewater Management Office, LSWMO, on Wednesday conducted the enforcement feeling complains by residents in the area over spillage of raw spillage from the building at Imam Dauda street in the community.
The agency noted that the sanctioning became neccessary in pursuant of a cleaner, healthy, safe and sustainable environment and prevention of health related issues for residents in the area.
It added that every form of environmental pollution endangers public health and perpetrators will be appropriately sanctioned in line with the provisions of the Environmental Management and Protection Law.
The government urged the residents Lagosians to embrace proper wastewater management and hygiene practices to safeguard public health and ensure environmental sustainability.
