LAGOS POISED TO PROMOTE MULTI-AGENCY SYNERGY, REDUCE COST OF GOVERNANCE
Lagos State Government has reiterated its determination to reduce the cost of governance and promote synergy between its agencies through the provision of sustainable office infrastructure for its workforce
These were the declarations of the Special Adviser to the Governor, Ministry of Works, and Infrastructure, Engr. Adekunle Olayinka when he led top Officials of the Office of Works in the Ministry to inspect the extent of works on the Multi-Agency Building Project in Alausa Ikeja
The Multi-Agency Building Project is a multi-story building consisting of 3 no blocks i.e. A, B and C an- a total area of site of 2.01 hectares with block B consisting of 8 (eight) floors in height while the other blocks (A&C) are 5 (five) floors each. The 3 (three) blocks (A, B & C) have a Penthouse on the last floor. The first two floors of each block are earmarked for parking while the upper floors are meant for office accommodation. The Pent-Houses are exclusively for conferencing
The other features of this Project include 2 no. elevators, stair-cases, reception lobbies, canteen and kitchens for each block, conveniences, conference rooms on pent-house floors, central air conditioning systems, a fully equipped generator house and accessories, landscaped environment with paving and covered drains, perimeter fencing, suspended milling arcades, car park spaces for over 700 vehicles.
The visitation aside from being a strong indication of the determination to ensure prompt completion of the projects conceived by Lagos State Government out of the twin desire to scale down the incidental costs of premises rentals and accommodate most Parastatals of the state within the Secretariat vicinity.
Olayinka promised to ensure the timely completion of the Multi-Storey structure and other infrastructure projects in the State. The Contractor handling the project promised the delivery of the project as scheduled.
