Lagos Monitoring Unit Assess Newly Constructed Road In Agbado-Oke-Odo

Officials from Project Implementation and Monitoring Unit of the office of Chief of Staff to the Governor of Lagos State, Technical Department, Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs and Rural Development and Centre for Rural Development (CERUD) carried out an assessment of newly constructed Erelu Way/Dayo Eleku/Community Link Road in Amikanle, Agbado Okeodo Local Council Development Area (LCDA).
The 1.3 km road, which is part of the massive infrastructural renewal of Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu’s administration, is to enhance easy access, facilitate rapid socioeconomic development, attract new investments, make travel more convenient and safer, and promote the assets and general well-being of the people living in the community.
The inspection of the road was aimed at determining the technical quality, compliance with job specifications, environmental resilience, value for money, aesthetics, and such other conditions that support the suitability and readiness of the road for official commissioning.
Deputy Director of the Project Implementation and Monitoring Unit, Arc. Awoyemi Yusuf, was received by the representative of the contractor that handled the project, officials of the Community Development Association (CDA) and some residents of the community.
The contractor, the CDA and the residents agreed to work together to carry out speedy remedial actions to improve the condition of the road in readiness for its official commissioning.
