Lagos MOJ trains counsel on brief writing

The Lagos State Ministry of Justice, MOJ, has organized a capacity training program for judicial counsels to enhance brief writing skills in judicial practices.

At the Colossus Hotel, Opebi, Ikeja, the MOJ, in collaboration with The White House organized the two day training program tagged : “Brief Writting Master Plan” In a bid to enhance an improved recording in the profession.

Speaking at the event, the Lagos State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Lawal Pedro SAN, stated that the 2day exercise was organized with the purpose of identifying and breaking through barriers in the profession, creating an avenue for creative writing by the professionals, as well as providing counsel with practical tools to improve the effectiveness and persuasiveness of their written communications.

The Attorney General at the capacity building program admonished the counsel to take full advantage of the opportunity provided in the course of the program, stating that the experience ammased will enhance discussions and collective understanding of the Brief Writing exercise.

Other participants in attendance include, Lagos State Solicitor General and Permanent Secretary, Mrs. Titilayo Shitta-bey Jeje, Directors in the Ministry and Counsel of the State.
