The Lagos State Ministry of Justice, MOJ, has appointed Aderinsola Olubanke as Permanent Secretary.

During the swearing-in of the appointee on Friday, Governor of the State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, said that the new measure demonstrates the State Government’s commitment towards strengthening it’s justice sector.

Sanwo-Olu added that the initiative is in line with his administration’s dedication towards enhancing good governance. He noted that Olubanke’s appointment is crucial in ensuring continuity, excellence in civil service alongside upholding high standards in public administration.

The Ministry’s Solicitor General, Hameed Oyenuga, said that the appointment is a testament to the critical role the mediation plays in the state’s justice system.

Oyenuga lauded the vast experience, leadership skills, integrity and deep commitment of Olubanke as factors leading to her appointment.

He also noted that the new Permanent Secretary’s understanding of conflict resolution and public service has made her well-suited to oversee the newly renamed Citizens Mediation Bureau, formerly known as the Citizens Mediation Center.

The designee said: “I am honored and grateful for the appointment as Permanent Secretary and the opportunity to lead the newly renamed Citizens Mediation Bureau.

“I appreciate the confidence reposed in me, and I pledge to uphold the values of fairness, integrity, and service to the people of Lagos.

“With the support of my colleagues and the entire justice community, I look forward to advancing the Bureau’s mission of providing effective, timely and accessible dispute resolution for all.”
