The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Badagry West have launched its Chairmanship campaign with the inauguration of a Local Organizing Committee (LOC).
The event, led by Badagry West’s Apex Leader, Mr Bamgbose Joseph, saw the appointment of a notable figure, Mr Mobolaji Ogunlende, the Lagos State Commissioner for Youth and Social Development, who was named the Campaign Director General.
During the ceremony, Joseph underscored the importance of unity and teamwork among the newly appointed committee members.
He emphasized that their selection was about filling a crucial role to lead others. He highlighted Ogunlende’s prior electoral experience and his current position as a state commissioner as key reasons for his appointment.
Ogunlende expressed his gratitude on behalf of all 60 LOC members, emphasizing their collective mission for progress.
Despite the perceived lack of strong opposition, Ogunlende issued a strong warning against complacency. He urged the committee not to take their expected victory for granted.
He called for a unified and dedicated effort, framing the campaign as a test of their collective strength. He also encouraged the incoming council chairman to prioritize inclusivity, ensuring that everyone feels valued and part of the team.
“We will go door to door, canvass, and we will emerge. We are here for you, to support you. It is our Badagry West; nobody is going to do it if we don’t. We have 17 days to show our capacity, and we will move swiftly as a body. We should do everything with love.”
The incumbent chairman of Badagry West LCDA, Mr Gbenu Joseph reaffirmed his commitment in ensuring APC emerged victorious.
